Diana Levinson | b. 1949, Silver Springs, Maryland
Diana Levinson began her artistic career more than 25 years ago and views her years of painting as a journey toward self-discovery. The process through which she creates is an ongoing evolution unconcerned with origins and endings, but haunted instead by the beauty of change and progress.
Levinson's goal is to flood each painting with strength, risk and the power of her will. Her recent Black series employs bold strokes to compel viewers to flee the bonds of reason and enter the vast, energetic rhythms of self-transformation contained within her expressions.
During the past year, Diana has been working on her print making. While different in feel than her large oils, they are a strong statement of her diverse talents.
